Took a shower, jumped off fellow travelers with a dead battery, and drove. Gas in Independence, MO. Saw a police chase that ended in a crash. Looked it up online later and saw pictures. Ate at Steak n Shake (terrible service made our stop an hour and a half) in Wentzville, MO. Got gas. Gas in Marston, MO. (See how we are never leaving Missouri?)
