Back in 1961-62 Jayne and Jens met at Zion-Benton Township High School in Zion, IL, USA. Jens was a foreign exchange student from Denmark. We had several classes together and became friends. ... in his floating office and then puttered around the boat. The man cannot sit still. It was cold enough that a big crock pot of steak chili seemed a good idea. And it was. Yummmmmm.

... foot flush the toilet at their marina but he had been in the army and had seen all kinds of behaviors. He reckoned if the toilet handle was loose, it was because of a foot flusher who did not want to get germs on their hands. I could not argue with that logic especially when one or two of my friends today admitted to being foot flushers for the very same reason. Just for the record, I will be checking my toilet handles when those friends leave my house!
