Friday was the start of the reunion activities. 25 classmates and spouses from the Class of '63 gathered at the home of Forrest and Jacque Behrens for a day of dining and lots of conversation and stories of the days of old and present. The next day the group met at 11:30 at Champy's restaurant for fried chicken and fried catfish. After lunch some of us went touring ...

... it was a peaceful day. We are parked very close to the banks of a forest so it is quite pretty with the fall colors and the beaches just a few yards away. We saw a bobcat slinking through the woods this morning and then an eagle fished by our starboard side. Also a few small ducks and a heron hung out by the boat most of the day. Otherwise, there was not a living soul around beyond a couple of barges in the distance. I spent the day reading in my bridge solarium while ...

... hot and the water is scalding from their heat. Our hot water heater is not nearly as efficient. So, now I am tired, but clean, hot and my tummy is full.

So evening is upon us and we are ready to kick back after a hard day. Before I retire, I thought I would let folks know that another small mystery is solved. You know I just had to ask the owner at the Guntersville Marina about the sign in the restroom. The fellow admitted he had never ...
