      ... Torrey Pines Golf course that hosts several PGA tournaments. We met a couple there who were from Larchmont, New York and they lived about two blocks from Paul and Sharon's. Talk about a small world. Next we went back to our hotel for some poolside relaxing and reading and the odd beer. Siesta time. Dinner at an awesome seafood joint called Bergantine's.       ... sausage a la salsa on an open fire, drank rather too much wine and danced around to the tinny sound of the iPad, and actually slept because it wasn't freezing cold (and ok maybe the wine had something to do with it) - brilliant! The only thing that spoiled it was some total BEEP BEEP BEEP nicked our camping chairs in the night. Who steals camping chairs, seriously?!?! It hasn't put us off but we have an appointment with the bright lights of LA, back to the city we go...

      ... the view for 50mins (unfortunately trains here are not like in Europe) and spent the afternoon and evening with Caleb on a brief tour of a couple more spots around the harbour while errand running. Also saw the 1974 film, Blazing Saddles- if you like The Castle this is probably a movie for you! Although, in saying that, brother dearest didn't enjoy it so watch at your own risk.
