Add in winery tours, light displays, and fun attractions (e.g. Hollywood Wax Museum) and this town becomes a must do if you are visiting central USA.     ... where it was all 2 lane. Out of the mountains, we drive on and on the flats. We got into Guymon at 7:30 local time, over 10 hours of driving. October 13, Monday We left Guymon around 9:30am where the wind made driving a little difficult. We got to Enid, then it rained on us off and on the whole way home.  It was a long day because of the weather.   We got home around 6:30pm with the wind still blowing and it was quite cool... Home sweet ...

    ... long on the road, we saw some pronghorn, even some babies.  Then I saw a pheasant in a field.  Another field was full of cattle... We stopped at Painted desert/petrified forest national park. We saw 2 coyotes and a model A that sat where route 66 used to be.   We also saw some pictographs and an village of ancient natives. This was very interesting.
