... breakfast, cook, eat, sleep. Alex and I quickly rustled up a stir-fry (vegetables at last!) and we spent the rest of the evening going through our free guidebooks that came with the City Passes making plans for the rest of the week.

Hayley (our breakfast queen) is chopping up fresh fruit for our fruit salad and French toast breakfast and by the sounds of it she is just about done! Hope you are all enjoying my blog so far, signing off for the day! Until ...

According to the nifty Health app on my new iPhone 6, I walked 11.6 miles yesterday and 12.03 miles today. Apparently, your walking muscles are not your cycling muscles. Who knew? Last night I slept for seven hours; I can't remember the last time I slept so long and well.

This is the story of many firsts: My first flight, my first time leaving the United States, and the first time I travel to France. All in all, the airport wasn't too stressful until I had to have my carry-ons searched which required unpacking two bags (I only lost one pair of headphones and an iPod charger). I simply told myself I would find a new charger in France and moved on. Now for the actual flight, I was on a night flight aboard ...

... We still had a few bits to do in NYC and also needed some time to plan and book ahead our next few days so we stopped another day in the city. Unfortunately our Hostel was fully booked so we had to move to a different one - a YMCA (yes, we sang the song to ourselves when we got there). This was a bit of a faff but at least it provided us with somewhere to do the bits we needed too. Not much else to put for today.
