Was up at 0600hrs, showered, dressed and in the lobby by 0620 waiting for a cab. The cab driver from the previous evening had estimated going to the same address at this time of day would take 35 minutes, in reality it took 7. A full 28 minutes of rack time squandered!

And so our great journey comes to a close...we took it easy this morning and pulled into town after 7 PM. We arrived to find that our cat Chloe happy, healthy, and affectionate, thanks to the services of a local pet sitter.

... I had plenty of time to observe the 14,000 different license plate designs as each state resident never presented a duplicate. I also noticed the locals tend to speed up in construction zones although the signs warn of a double fine for perpetrators. Part of me believes this is a state plot to lure tourists into a trap. I bet all of those odd plated speedy cars are paid by the government to zoom in and out of orange-coned zones influencing tourists to keep up ...
