Long drive to Wichita yesterday, once I got here I stopped to stretch my legs at Great Plains Nature Center, which was a nice little park in the middle of the city. Then I met up with my Couchsurfing host and her friend, we made dinner then went down the street to ...

Today we headed north to Wichita, KS. In contrast to the park in Thackerville, OK, the one in Wichita was pretty new. Lots of concrete, not much in the way of trees. It sorta felt like we were camping on an airport runway. Good laundry, showers, and restrooms. (Hey, those things are important!)

... uploading pictures right now. We are in the busy part of an evening in a campground where everyone and his brother is trying to check and send email, download movies, whatever.I am just going to post this part of the blog and then try again in the morning when I hope the channel will be less busy. If that doesn't work, I will try Betty C's trick...stop at a McDonalds! Oooh! I just remember that I haven't had a chocolate chip frappe there in several weeks...YUM!!
