... to mind, we I watched small birds, nearly noiseless, climb high in the sky and then swoop into the small brush that dot the land. A woman running dashed by in front of me. We planned our day after breakfast. We started at the Georgia O'Keefe Museum, which was small but very beautiful and interesting. High on my bucket was (and I say was) Taos. Poor Tom drove about nine hours, some of them in a raging rain storm. Taos was a bust. We immediately headed for Santa Fe.
The ride, however to Taos was nothing short of spectacular. The landscapes were like paintings. We traveled through sage brush fields and majestic mountains. We miss so much of this beautiful country when we travel by plane.
