... After lunch, Sheila and I headed west to Iowa to donate the Prius and more importantly see our granddaughter Isabelle. On the way to Iowa, we decided to stop by our Kentucky lot to make sure it was still there!! We ended up stopping just outside of Nashville. Tomorrow, we will stop at the lot and then head to Iowa City.

Attached is a picture of me in my Hawaiian garb and the Prius.

Waiting for our flight

A travel blog entry by eastallie on Dec 19, 2014

Johnnie and I arrived at the airport and said our goodbyes to family. We made it through check in and security in record time and have lots of time to spare. With ...

So we headed south to Chapel Hill, where we landed at the home of our dear friends, Jim and Heather (and their lovely daughters, Sydney and Leah). Neela had wiggled her tooth so incessantly that she nearly lost her thumb instead. But finally all of that industriousness paid off, and we had a gleefully ...

Yesterday I was frustrated - I wanted to be witty and clever but I ahve so much trouble typing on this thing that it was all I could do to get the outline of what we did down. Today will be even harder- I would have to be a poet to even begin to describe what the day was like. We spent 8 hours on the train from Ankorage to Denali- this is nothing like 8 hours on a plane. The first floor of the train held the restaurant, the bathrooms and the gift shop. The seating was all ...
