    ... picnic lunch. It was so nice with no flies or mozzies. Very few people so definitely no noisy radios like yesterday. Idyllic in fact!
    There was a small military museum but we gave it a miss.
    As we were driving along, I saw a sign to a waterfall, and wanted to investigate. Great name Taughannock Falls. Almost as good as some names in NZ eh! I really like the rock colours round it.

    just so you know my timetable for an average day at camp;

    • wake up at 7:00, shout at the kids to get them all in the showers, make their beds and get changed. then go in the shower myself because the showers are cold first thing in the morning and by the time all the campers have been in, the water is nice and warm.
    • Breakfast at 8:00 - every morning i have pancakes with syrup and strawberry sauce (with actual strawberries) ...

I love driving through the Finger Lakes region; it's ...

    83 days long. starting June 6th, ending August 20th .

    So what is this trip I speak of? I don’t know. What is a trip even? Where you push your body to a new place? When the mind is wacked out of its norm and experiences something new and unknown? Yea. I think think this trip will be more like the latter. At least I want it to. I want it to be filled with life changing experiences and I want to be able to diffuse all the wonderful vibes ...

    Gettysburg to Ithaca

    A travel blog entry by steveandcarro on May 29, 2014

    Another early start this morning to try and beat some of the traffic travelling on the roads on Memorial Day and we also have a 3 1/2 hour drive ahead of us. We drove to Corning, about an hour from Ithaca and stopped to have a look at the Corning Glass Museum. It was fascinating and had some lovely displays of glassworks as well as the history of glassmaking. As well as these displays there were demonstrations of the ...
