... to stay up for about 5 hours, and then slept for about 5. Landed in San Fran at 10:30 AM local time. Getting through customs with Global Entry is THE BEST. Took less than 2 minutes. The biggest hassle was the fact that I changed airlines from United to US Air, so had to get my luggage and lug it upstairs in another terminal to check it in at the US Air counter. This afternoon we finally got around to mowing the lawn. It's not that we are lazy. You see, it has been wet in Tallahassee lately. The original plan was to mow the lawn yesterday since Steele had the day off, but mother nature had other plans. Mother nature planned for us to mow the lawn this afternoon between afternoon showers. I sure hope that this is not an omen of what's to come.
The door is open to screen, the windows are open and the A/C is doing it's job of lowering the humidity. It's all good!
We spent much of the afternoon sitting outside and reading. With the first warm temps we've seen in quite some time, it was a pleasure.
Tomorrow we'll move on back to Florida for a few days and then on to Mississippi to visit my nephew, if all works out well.
... had started to hit me. A weird phenomenon for me of late is this yawning. I still get up early and don't eat breakfast until nine or so unless we're leaving. The sign for hunger appears and hopefully we can find a place to stop. There are lots of closed businesses down here, but today I just couldn't seem to spot one soon enough. We made it fine, though to today's destination.
