... Rivers State Park; children whined and grumbled, sleepy bodies shocked by the cold as we carried them into the cabin. ... we even took off, but woke up for dinner and started on the caffeine. Got to Charlotte and had a Starbucks and by the time I landed in Tally (on time at midnight) I was wired!!!!! Ended up being awake until about 2:30 - 3:00 before I headed off to bed. But boy did I sleep good. Didn't get up until noon!!! Still can't believe I went around the world. Tomorrow is the big day.
We're making our last minute preparations and unconsciously deciding exactly what we're going to forget (I hope it isn't important). We're both really looking forward to hitting the open road and having nothing to do but absolutely whatever we want to.

The door is open to screen, the windows are open and the A/C is doing it's job of lowering the humidity. It's all good!
We spent much of the afternoon sitting outside and reading. With the first warm temps we've seen in quite some time, it was a pleasure.
Tomorrow we'll move on back to Florida for a few days and then on to Mississippi to visit my nephew, if all works out well.
