... for Tel Aviv on Sunday :) I found out yesterday I'll be living in an apartment with 10 other people. It's going to be insane and beautiful. My work is less than half a mile from my apartment, so I can walk or bike there in less then 10 minutes. I'm super relieved! But before that comes, I'm off to spend a couple days in the big city. Sending love and kisses to all of you. Know that I carry you with me where ever I go.

Six months ago I was in Tel Aviv having the most incredible time of my life. I knew while I was there, I had found a new home. I felt like I was with my people. Onto the Rouge River - ugly industrial brought to you by FORD. Technically this is Dearborn. An unbelievable scale to the plant. Then we cross town to the peculiarly named neighbourhood of Brightmoor – which must be the most stark example of the de-suburbanization, depopulation that is happening in Detroit. The population has shrunk from 1.5 million people to around ...

... Her grandma Walsh was devoutly Catholic. They had a Virgin Mary painting at the house and during that time, people were claiming that pictures of the Virgin Mary would cry, so Mom would sit and stare at the picture, but she never saw her cry.

Mom also remembered going to church with a tissue on her head with grandma Walsh, and eating delicious sandwiches and bagels from the Jewish deli.

She told me that the carpet in Grandma Ward's house was green, and ...

... overwhelming. And then....Henry Ford Museum is right next door....

Henry Ford Museum has an unbelievable collection of cars, of course. But it also features trains, planes, buggys, silver pieces, glass ware, modern furniture and household goods, etc., etc. After spending most of the day outside at Greenfield Village the air conditioning was a welcome respite from the ...
