    ... are so so so green and the red houses (or cabins/shed/huts) stood out in the background. Railway lines are beside the lakes and the mountains are on other side of the railway line. Noticed the waters in those lakes are clean and "sparkly".     ... was that I hadn’t booked any accommodation in Helsinki, which was where I was flying to that night. Had a look and the only thing that was available was a hotel out near the airport for 90 euros. The budget definitely went out the window here.

    The last of the Norway trip was a 7-hour hung-over drive back to Oslo in the pouring rain ready for our flights out. It was definitely worth it though, the fjords were amazing! ...

    ... When we sleep in our interior stateroom, its pitch dark and impossible to keep track of time. Were always tired, physically drained from gym walking about, or weird sleep.- We are growing more cynical and frustrated with people. This morning a couple next to us at breakfast oozed such negativity it was infuriating.     I also found Alesund an attractive port but busier than Kristiansund as cruise ships visited Alesund. Fortunately today there was only one cruise ship in dock. On the way down the hill I spoke to an English couple who were on their first cruise, a 7 day cruise through the fjords.
