It was good.back in the room I sorted all my stuff out and into my new suitcase..had to get a new one as the old one was splitting and it was also jammed packed and I was having difficulties finding stuff. My hotel is basically at the beginning of the main street for shopping and eating, Eduardo Ribeiro St. Restaurants are not readily available / established, most of the population eats from street side vendors. The sidewalks outside of the larger leased spaces are packed with vendors selling food, cell phones, flip flops, tape measures, speedos, magazines, etc. Basically, you name it, and you can find it at a street side vendor cart.

A visit to the Opera!
An exciting day, we have booked private tours with Amazon Destinations and are expecting our guide Miqueias to meet us at the gangplank, but we have missed the prime spot on the floating dock so are told we have to get the shuttle to the terminal, where we use the free but slow wifi and eventually found that Mike as he asks to be called had got to the gangplank anyway! Mike is a super guide young, good english and very keen to ensure we see everything with ...
