          ... old village but was so full of tourists, one could hardly move. Had an early night after 30 hours of flying and driving. Surprisingly not too jet lagged, most probably due to being able to lie flat and sleep on the flight.

          ... Spent the whole day at the beach. Ended up getting quite sunburnt. However it wasn't a painful burn like NZ, just very pink. Hung around the hostel in the evening and met quite a few people, including a hot Dutch girl who ended up being only 17! Also met a drunk kiwi ...

          ... a little further and you come across a beautiful Japanese garden planted like an oasis in the midst of the bustling city and a welcome relief from the sun on a warm day.

          Eventually we felt we had our fill of the vibe that is Monaco and left it there in all its glory. Still packing up the last of the grandstands and check points from the race now ran and won a couple of weeks ago, but all the while demonstrating that it is a always a place for winners.

This involves me manually advancing the timer for the washing machine every 20-30 mins, as the aging machine seems to get stuck and won't pump out at the end of every part of the cycle.....
