          ... the hike on the trail along with us. They were all lots of fun! Four of them were from Sydney and three from Germany. I will describe to you what each of the huts looked like. The first hut was a cabin-like house, with a view down to Akaroa harbour. It had 12 beds and a double kitchen, like all the other huts (2 sinks, 2 ovens, 2 stoves and more than 12 plates, cups…).           ... beautiful and shame we couldn't stay but would need a six months plus trip to do it all.
          Didn't stop in Christchurch as on the itinerary for the 28th. Stunning drive over Banks Peninsular and passed a great pub with regae music at the Little River pass but stopping would have meant an even later check in.
