After getting up at a ridiculous hour, we finally departed Melbourne. We flew into torrential rain and flooding at Christchurch. As we flew over the South Island it was great to see ...

As myself and the lads started to ascend out of the forest we were treated to views of glacial valleys flanked by conical tree shrouded mountains. After lunch the scenery stepped ...

"We're sleeping in the boat yard!"

... reception was upside down! Also, The Over Spill field had a boat in it, meaning we had been mistaking it for The Boat Storage Field (how silly of us not to realise that a field with a boat in it wouldn't be The Boat Storage Field!) As you can imagine this was all rather hilarious in the pitch dark, with Chris finding himself unable not to complain about a campsite that hangs it's site map upside down every five minutes for the rest of the weekend! All of this ...
