After getting up at a ridiculous hour, we finally departed Melbourne. We flew into torrential rain and flooding at Christchurch. After a hiccup at customs (yes my face has changed), we were picked up by our tour group. We walked around the streets and found lots of noodle places! We had a welcome dinner and met our companions for the next 9 days. I am exhausted!

The journey home would seem endless. From the time we left the hotel with our luggage to our arrival at home in Bratton it would be 39 hours.

Back at our Holiday Park we cooked a lamb chop dinner and opened a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc purchased on our wine tour.
This is a great park in Te Anau with comfortable eating and lounge areas and a great kitchen. The showers and toilets are ample and impeccably clean. I have tried to find Olympic coverage on the TV in the lounge but, no luck.

We pulled off the main road onto the one and only side street in Castle Hill to find that it was no more than an upcoming getaway place for upscale Christchurchians.
