I have visited Auschwitz and Birkenau in the past and Oradour together with these two places is 'a must do experience.' Not 'an enjoyable experience'.

After this we made our way to a little village called Busserolles which is right in the north of the Dordogne region of France. There we met up with Andy Bailey, an old work colleague of all three of us, and his wife Sandy. Andy and ...

After a terrific thunder storm during the night, we left at 9.45 for the 83 miles to this Aire. It was a very different journey as the scenery was quite flat compared to the previous journeys. Angles sur L'Anglin is indeed a beautiful village. Dominated by it's ruined 12th century castle, the village is a well preserved medieval village with many houses dating back the the 11th century. It's history is even older though, as a cave with wall friezes dating back some 15,000 years was discovered in the early 50's. Carved bison, horse, ibex and large felines, as well as 3 interesting female human ...

... past. We took a lot of photos which we will add later, and on our return to the site I felt that one last dip in the pool would be nice, and it was. Tomorrow we leave to spend our last two days in France at Sees, nearer to Caen and of course the ferry home. I don't expect to have internet access after today so will conclude this blog in the UK. To those who read it - thankyou!
