All good things must come to an end. Even freak'n awesome trips, such as this. Last night we stopped by and spoke with one of the Newt proclaimed "Icons of the Road", Gary Turner. Gary is full of folksy wisdom, Route 66 stories, recommendations and an unassuming salesman. He talked to Newt on his way out, before he had his road name, into purchasing a book that he already had at home so people along the route could sign it.

It never got too hard, but it also never really stopped either until it was time to wake up. Overall, the area got about a 1/2 inch of rain overnight. Luckily, my tent held and I was able to stay dry. This would actually be the only time I had to deal with rain on any of the nights that I camped out.

... a beautiful sunset from my balcony overlooking Lake Ozark, I hurried to the store to get the necessary ingredients. I had to hurry because this was also the night of the season premier of the best show on TV, The Walking Dead!

The steak ended up being great and the show was entertaining as well. The night was very comfortable staying in the suite and I would definitely recommend a visit to Osage Beach for anyone ever passing through the area.
