... of expired deer. It was a awesome and gory site. Then we enter the Calistoga Ranch, impeccably groomed grounds and smiling faces greet us. We feel like celebrities. April directs us to not touch our luggage as the valet takes care of everything.

They whisk us up the hill to the bar in a golf cart with great plastic door with spring-loaded doors. The ...

... be leaving "the boys". We've had tons of fun. Unfortunatly it took us three damn months to teach them to play Euchre, but we've made up for lost time in the last week but playing every night and allowing it to get extremely heated. Although, with Rob playing any game.. things usually get out of hand.

The next few weeks should be fun though.. finally a ...

... of our friends showed up and there were 112 Pabst Blue Ribbon's in the fridge. Unlike our last party everyone brought piles of beer and wine so at the end of the night with a pile of drunk people, we somehow still had two coolers and a fridge loaded with beer. Great!

Spent most of Saturday being absolutely worthless. Rented In Bruges, (probably my favorite movie ever) and had a relaxing quiet evening. Until.....

Pacific Beauty

For the next leg of our adventure, we explored the Point Reyes National Seashore, north of San Francisco in Marin County. We stayed at the closest state park, Samuel P. Taylor, which is in a redwood forest. This was our first California state park experience and the affects of the state's budget crisis were evident here. They had closed the RV campground (without posting a notice on their website) and the only campsites available to us were in parallel ...

Day three in the Big Brother House

... the first tasting way after 3 was good going. The sparkling wines at Gloria's place were the highlight but the pepper jack cheese sampled in Sonoma and subsequently purchased was also a good find.

On the way home from the last tasting which closed at the outrageous but convivial time of 6.30 we turned the Flex fun-buss into a really poor edition of "America’s got some talent but it can’t be heard for all the hollering and flat singing ...

A New Home

... the meditation hall (and, I suspect, the successful completion of the conference). The framing is all done with no nails. Some of the timber frame company people were there, the architects, and the people who had input into the design and planning. It will be a beautiful building when it is finished. I will have to come back to see it someday. While there, I inquired about moving back into my yome, and they gave me a choice of whichever yome I wanted. Being nobody's fool, I chose ...

... anyway castro is the rainbow flag flying gay and lesbian centre of SF - got touched on the ass heaps, well actually no, we felt quite rejected! ;) quite a nice main street, interesting shop names tho - `the sausage factory` italian restaurant, `rock hard` (well u can guess what they sold), and `squat and gobble` (Ewwwww) cafe. Anyway, that took 20 minutes, back down to the bay! Went on a tour through a ww2 us submarine (uss pampanito), which was really ...

Monterry, Carmel and 17 mile drive

... dropped all her nuts down their hole so they never bothered coming out again... Carmel was quite nice, just full of expensive shops and has a really nice beach. Fiona got quite excited when she found a shop selling Frys Peppermint Cremes, so of course she had to buy one...2 bucks - they saw her coming. Journey back went through Silicon Valley past google, microsoft, yahoo and sun. Just put that wee bit in for all the computer geeks reading this - u know who u are!

San Francsico!!.... all the way!!... (MA+)

... place to live. San Francisco has all the comforts of a big American city but has the style and sophistication that's found further a field... To liken San Francisco (not San Fran... if you call it San Fran you're obviously a tourist...) to home, it's a mixture of Sydney and Melbourne all rolled into one... With the natural beauty of Sydney with its harbour and picturesque hilly backdrop... but has the architectural beauty and city smart sophistication similar to Melbourne... Let alone ...
