Last night we went to a Korean do-it-yourself restaurant. Basically you are given the food raw, cooking utensils and a barbeque and you do it all yourself. It was much more fun to do it this way. I started the day with a chocolate muffin and hot chocolate from Starbucks. The man at the counter could speak some English, so he knew exactly what I wanted . ... last more than two consecutive songs before I needed a rest. The girls one the other hand had no trouble yelling into the microphones for song after song. It was a very enjoyable experience and I wonder why it has never quite caught on with any western countries. We still lack any karoake facilities and the ones that exist, function 1 for the whole restaurant, which is stupid.

Tonight or tomorrow night we will go to the KTV Karoake bar, extremely popular in China. The girls told me that the only English songs are old ones, but I am happy enough to see how the KTV system works.

Afterwards I went to a big supermarket based on the French version called Carrefaur or something like that. It is like a cross between a KMart and a Coles supermarket with everything from vegetables to 50' Plasma TVs.
