... lead by an impressively tall principle who has presided here for 18 years. In the classroom, the Tibetan teacher never skipped a beat despite our presence in her classroom. The students, about 10 years old also kept eyes-front and engaged in the lesson. There was a chalkboard with Tibetan writing on it that had something to do with what was being taught, as well as a huge digital screen which projected the essence of the lesson as well as animations ...

This morning we woke up and boarded our airport bus at 5am to get to the Chengdu airport. Since we were heading to Lhasa, security was expected to be very tight and lengthy. you warm and secondly, to combat altitude sickness. Staying well
hydrated is important when changing altitude so quickly. Not wanting
to stay in the room quite yet we head to the hotel restaurant to get
some warm food – luckily the food is delicious. We both have big
bowls of soup and are entertained by our host's little girl who at
the end of the meal gives us a small chocolate ball. We did get a

... for the rest of the day. Stopped for lunch in Foshan, before commencing what i hadn't realised in advance would turn out to be a 1400m climb. Took till eight oclock for me to reach the small tourist resort where we planned to sleep, and it was already dark.
