As for Maji Shan - despite it being up in the clouds, it was seriously impressive, especially given it was produced way way before scaffolding and cranes! Well worth going and actually, my guess is the rain kept the crowds away, which made for a nice change in China!

... a taxi for the ease of getting there quickly and easily. Thank god we did that, we were about 20mins away car ride as the place is split into two sections and there's about 15km between each side of town.

We made it to the hotel, yes hotel! Not hostel! Although it wasn't a posh one ha ha but it was the only accommodation listed in the lonely planet so we didn't really have much choice. The lovely ...

... will set up shop. Some areas just have food selling street vendors, others have a string of vendors selling every kind of article clothing, shoes, and other miscellaneous goods. I've seen a vendor's table just littered with very comfortable looking socks.

There are a few shopping malls in the center of the city. The entrances are often disguised behind a plastic curtain. Inside you have more restaurants, maybe a gym, and other miscellaneous shops.

Culture Shock? So over it.
