OK, here is the taiji form that I learned while I was there. I suppose it's fair that I post this, since I want Tristan to post all of his. A word of warning though... even watching GOOD tai chi is pretty boring, and I'm about 20 years away from being good! But, for those who are interested... here it ...

Tristan is practicing his first form. He won't be grading (testing) on it until the new year, so it's still a work in progress!

His master is watching with a spear in hand. If the students don't do well, he sometimes whack them with it -- depending on his mood. He rarely uses the pointy end, thank goodness!

... sometimes as needed if people will be absent on regular grading days. The whole school attends sparring and grading. I think that Tristan is scheduled to grade before I leave and will also spar next Friday, as long as there are still regular classes. ... taxi ride!

Oh, and Jennifer... I remembered your advice to bring toilet paper with me but I forgot what you said about the pit toilets until I went to the washroom in the mall. Needless to say, I didn't bother and waited until I got back to my hotel!

We've attached the few pictures we took while we were there (lame I know) and a couple other random ones too. (Sorry, the internet is too slow right now to upload pics. I'll try to get them up tomorrow.. check back then!)

... So far I have not been hit at all... not sure whether that's good or bad.

I'll get tested on my forms once in a while.. maybe once a month, or else when both my Shifu and I feel I'm ready. Once I'm graded, I can move on to the next level. There is open sparring every other Friday. I'm just going to watch for the first month or so and get a sense of things, and how each person fights, before I try it myelf.

That's it for now!
