As we had the first week off before beginning teaching,
Adrian, Christian, Katrin and I thought that it shouldn’t be wasted so we
packed up our bags and set off for Qingdao which is one of Shandong’s more
touristy destinations. Its also on the coast so theres was a beach there too.

... seafood is the speciality in Qingdao (and beer, Tsingtao!- but thats another story!). I tried oysters, muscles, clams, cockles, sea snails, octopus, and loved all of them, who knew i wasn't that fussy after all! ... are 125 service staff (waiters, sommeliers, etc). They are all trying to keep the 1,300 passengers happy and they succeed! An average week’s consumption will include over 18,000 eggs, 16,000 lbs of meat, poultry and seafood, 12,500 lbs of vegetables and 2,000+ bottles of wine and champagne. Quite the grocery shopping list! We are doing our best to eat and drink our fair share.

The weather has been right beaut this week in Qingdao and I've had a pretty busy week. I Climbed Fu Shan, one of the mountains around Qingdao, wandered through Zhongshan Park, flew a kite at May Fourth square and even had time to go on a three person bike. What do you call that? A triodum? Anyway it was pretty funny. I also went on my first night out ...
