... The rooms (two people per room, Katrin and I shared one while
the boys shared the other) contained a double bed, no windows, a small dresser
with a tv and a cupboard sized bathroom equipped with its own squat toilet and
shower hose right over it haha although they were dodgy they were cleaner than
expected and we really only needed them to sleep in so it wasn’t too bad. In saying
that though I took all my belongings with me every time we ...

The five star hotel in Qingdao was right on the beach, with great views of both the mountains and the sea. When you are living out of a suitcase moving from city to city not being able to use a kitchen, the meals that you are provided become really important, the breakfast buffet in this hotel was absolutely incredible, I ate crispy bacon, baked beans, poached eggs with fresh watermelon juice every morning! The evening buffet was equally ...

... are 125 service staff (waiters, sommeliers, etc). They are all trying to keep the 1,300 passengers happy and they succeed! An average week’s consumption will include over 18,000 eggs, 16,000 lbs of meat, poultry and seafood, 12,500 lbs of vegetables and 2,000+ bottles of wine and champagne. Quite the grocery shopping list! We are doing our best to eat and drink our fair share.

Today we start with our usual scheme: 7-8-9 meaning rolling at 9 am. We are taking a bus to see the old city around the pier. The houses look similar to Europe. This town including the beer factory is built by Germans. After visiting the pier we go for lunch in the heritage restaurant in Jiang Ming Fan Zhaang where we enjoy the traditional music played alive in the place. During the lunch they are selling paintings ...
