    ... way down. I was surprised at how relaxed and orderly the vast numbers of Chinese tourists were. Their mode of dress seemed varied and Informal. I am not sure why but I was surprised that everyone was wearing western clothes. Standard shorts, t-shirts, hats, sunglasses. the T-Shirts bore slogans mainly in English and I wondered if the Chinese knew what they said.

    ... surface of the wall. This part is in superb condition and very well maintained. It was truly inspiring and poignant to see what a human labour force can create over so many thousands of kilometers.     ... and ghost statues. As everyone has a week off work, the temples hold fairs. Apparently the fair at Lama Temple is the best, although, we really enjoyed our day at Dongyue. We ended the day with a Sunday roast at the Stumble Inn.

    February is a fantastic time to really experience the culture in Beijing, if you can stand the cold :)
