    ... that this place doesn't get many tourists, they said 600,000 per year. Some of the destinations I have been to will get that many in a week, so by China standards, this is pretty poor. I found the infrastructure here to be lacking, and I would be able to tell them how to improve it. But they're not asking me, and probably don't have the money to do improve the public's access to the attractions anyway.

    For me though, I didn't mind. ...

    ... C'est en fait un groupe de villages avec pas mal de diaolou. Ils ont un parcours fléché pour pouvoir voir tous le plus efficacement possible. Mieux vaut le suivre. La plupart des diaolou sont un peu décrépis et on ne peut pas y monter. Mais l'un d'eux est ouvert et vaut vraiment le coup. C'est le diaolou de la famille Lin. L'intérieur à juste l'air de daté de l'époque où il était habité. Ca transporte quelques décennies en arrière! Je m'y suis vraiment régalée. ...

    After our orphanage visit, Mr. Guan and his wife very kindly invited us to one of his favorite restaurants for lunch. It was a good drive from the SWI, and more on the outskirts of Jiangmen.     ... restaurant in Jiangmen. We found out today, that he selected the restaurant specifically because he wasn't sure if we would like the local food. Mr. Guan spoke a little english, but fortunately our guide was invited to dinner too, so acted as an interpreter. His son, "Jerry" (English name), also spoke english and was very eager to try out his language skills on us.
