... last ride thru because my motel is 5 mi south of I-40. The motel seems to have little on the city itself so I will peruse my guide book and see what else is noteworthy besides the Clinton Library. I got all excited that there was a barbecue place beside the motel, until I realized it was abandoned.

... privileged kids that get to do this interesting educational program. Andy and I learned from eating lunch with about a dozen ranch volunteers that more than not the kids learn a lot and grow from the experience. Others learn nothing and are just glad to be done! They hope that somewhere in each one of the kids a spark is lit for helping others less fortunate than themselves as they go through their lives. Some come back and become ...

... but I just didn't feel like doing that. Whenever I stayed in one place for more than a few days I got restless: I think I need friends and/or some more stability, like having my own place and being able to unpack and have my own room, to stay in one place for any longer amount of time, which I just wouldn't have while traveling.

So I'm back, and I hope this experience has changed me for the better. I plan on trying ...

... after Little Rock we had a long 5 hour drive to Oklahoma City. We arrived around nine oclock and the girls jumped into the pool. Small things please us a great deal on this trip and room with a fridge and microwave make us very happy it means we can keep milk cold and warm it up very quickly in the morning. Ok so in Oklahoma I went to sleep, and Debbie went into the bar to sing a little Kareoke. We woke up the next morning ...

... even did a little singing for our car, about heading east bound, the song was a little out dated but we forgive them anyways. Their coaching skills make-up for it. I guess American Idol is out of the question..sorry! Parents we definately already MISS you!!!! I promise everyone is doing great and are a blast to have with us. Rock. As we were driving, we got a wonderful surprise when we realized
we were now in the central time zone and had gained an hour! So we
arrived at the hotel around 8 pm (CST) and the kids headed straight to
the indoor pool. They swam for about an hour before we got hot showers
and got in bed. We have a room with 2 queen beds and the kids chose to
sleep together in one bed.

... and Clyde,Al Capone Etc.Saw the gowns of the first lady of the politicians of Arkansas.
Drove to the capitol of Little Rock and saw the statues about civil rights.
Drove home to our hotel .Big help the car's GPS.
Had dinner at Waffle;s House near the hotel.It is a chain restaurants all over the south.Had waffles and pecan pie.

Park in Peabody Hotel garage,Pay a parking machine with credit card.
Wait for the march of the ducks from the penthouse to the fountain.Peabody Hotel is famous for this.There is a red carpet and a duck master.Many tourists are waiting, like waiting for a celebrity.

... I expect that the most different thing between the countries will be the attitudes and way of life. I think it may be a little more hectic in China, with so many people. Also, the food will be very different. I like Chinese food, but eating it everyday for the next four months may be a little hard to handle. The most foreign thing will probably be the people. Like how they act, the language, and it will be a hard to feel at home in China, where they look nothing like me. I ...
