... About half way up the land flattened into a plateau that was very green and had a small Bedouin village, Sayah, with farms and palm groves. At top we were treated to some very nice views. In the morning we had shuttled into the new souk's area of Khasab, but there was not really much there. In hindsight we wish we would have gone on the morning's Dhow cruise tour through the fjords and for a swim at coral ...

... despite how slowly I went. The sounds made could have justified the front bumper being ripped off, or other significant damage to the undercarriage, but I didn't find anything when I checked underneath and she didn't either so, it's somebody else's problem now, if there is a problem). We catch a taxi back to his neighborhood, grab a quick bite to eat, and finally arrive back at his flat. Finally, the pack comes off and the hiking adventure to Wadi Al Far is concluded. ... We finished in time for me to attend the second set of dancing in the Queens Room. Most of the night's discussions centered around plans while in Dubai over the next two days. Several passengers are disembarking tomorrow and said their goodbyes. Back in the cabin we set our clocks back an hour before turning in for the night, then stayed up talking and watching a movie on TV.

I slept like a baby. At least, I slept like a baby who had, the night before, consumed way too much champagne and way too much wine. My bar bill is going to be significant. With my balcony door wide open overnight allowing the sounds of the sea to make it seem as though I was drifting alongside the Brilliance of the Seas rather than occupying a stateroom within her, I did not awake until the sun forced me to at 7:30.
