    ... situated where the Klang and Gomback Rivers flow together. The city grew up when tin was found in the mud, though supplies are now exhausted.

    Our first stop was the Kings Palace where we were allowed as far as the Guards at the Palace Gate. We moved on to the war memorial which is in memory of those who died in the two World Wars but also the 12 year long ‘Malaysian Emergency’. There is also a beautiful memorial garden.
