I could hardly wait for Phil to order in Italian. When the time came he went all shy!!! So I ordered - ravioli!!! He warmed up a bit later! The food was fantastic and the prices not too bad. After indulging in my famous home made Carbonara, which made us some extra friends as we made so much, we finally got onto a corkscrew and drank the night away. Again. Every wall is glass so that everywhere you turn you see underwater life. Some of the tanks are small to fit only a few fish, while others are 25-30 feet tall housing bigger creatures: turtles and sharks.

The whole trip was amazing, but the day did not end there. After Monaco, we headed to the tiny village of Eze. (see next entry).

This time round we enjoyed it much more and saw the old town and the marina. Some of the yachts were outrageously big, they are like a floating chateau's.

Day 3 we visited Nice, another spot we had been to on Contiki. We had enjoyed it last time and did so again. We spent some ...

... my return, the children wanted to go to the pool, which I did for an hour of splashing and bat and ball which, whilst completely futile, is what holidays are all about. Futile pastimes you do together, no email, no phones, no early meetings. Just bat and ball.

Lunch in the flat and the kids took an hour or so to play ipad games and watch “Life of Brian”. Possibly not the most venerable of films but to hear Lizzie recount the Herod Sketch involving ...
