... us all about the different local and traditional dishes. Very kind of him but we still didn't have much idea. After dinner we headed to the bar as we weren't aloud to drink alcohol at the table. It was Ramadan and Langkawi was a very traditional island. It wasn't very busy as it was low season and most people don't drink so we got our cards out and had a few games. Luckily however we had moved all the clothes and alcohol into Luke's bag, which made it, and in my bag were the toiletries (which we didn't need for the plane), shoes and random things. So if it took a couple of days to turn up, that was fine. It turned up the following night unscathed. We were pleased.

Well there ends the massive 8 ...

Lazing around in Langkawi

... cable car it started to cloud over but we decided to go up anyway seeing as we’d driven all the way and knowing with our newly found lazy state we probably wouldn’t be bothered to come again another day!

The cable car was pretty impressive – possibly one of the highest we had ever been on. It took 30 minutes to reach the top but the views became increasingly obscured by the clouds we had entered en route to the ...
