During the night the ship changed course for Mallorca in order to carry out a medical evacuation of a passenger. No word just rumours of the condition of the passenger evacuated. A nice day but a bit blowy so deck quoits and shuffleboard comps were cancelled since they take place on the top deck of Adonia. Therefore we spent a relaxing day around the ship. Dress code for tonight's dinner is Black & White night. ...

Today is another slightly cloudy day, but we are in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. This island is small but has many high mountains. The main city of Palma is the capital and this is where we are docked. We have booked a tour here that will take us to several sights. We all head on to the bus and start our way through the city. It is currently raining a little but the skies look good. So we head up to the summer castle of the Spanish Kings. King James I to ...

Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...

... in my mind the sequence of events that the museum was trying to depict. Some later reading of my own taught me that the island was under Roman control from the 2nd century to the 6th century (with a 40 year interruption in 427), after which it was conquered by the Byzantines during which time Christianity became the main religion. In the 10th century it was conquered by Arabs, then up until the 13th century the city was lost, recaptured and put under siege, at ...

Now before heading off to Cyprus via London, I would like to tell you about a couple of interesting places on the island. One was an amazing day trip to the Colabra Gorge. The drive to the gorge was almost as cool as the gorge, with winding curves and panoramic vistas. Once we arrived to the ...
