... bus in Paihia - the Bay of Islands, already loving the beach view I could see. Collected bag and walked around the bus to start heading to the hostel - and saw the Stray bus I'd been chasing all day! Good timing, especially as my bus was a little late. Wandered over and introduced myself (as the numpty who missed the bus!) and got a lift to the hostel with everyone else. After checking in, walked back up up to the village ...
... make-up for 6 hours and then did 12 hours filming! Everyday for 3 months!!! Later that afternoon we got the cable car up to the botanical gardens and had a lovely walk around. On Sunday we took a very tiring and steep walk up Mount Victoria to the Lookout and then we went to the local farmers market and indulged in a chocolate crepe (the best we've ever had!!) and in the afternoon took advantage of the amazing kitchen and cooked ourselves a roast dinner!!! A great way to end the North Island! ...
