After both our Christmas and new year accommodation got cancelled last minute we decided to **** Thailand off (for now) and instead dreamt up a new plan... Indonesia! We flew from Phnom Penh to Bali (via Kuala Lumpur). We arrived pretty late on so decided just to stay in a hotel near the airport for the night. The next day we took a minibus North to Lovina Beach. This should have taken around 3-4 hours but due to a combination of bad weather and bad driving took nearly ...

Ubud is supposedly ‘real Bali’, and despite huge numbers of tourists, locals still feel the area has maintained its culture, with temples, ornate homes, local eateries and so on. However, the main ...

We had a 3:30am start this morning so we could make the 6:15am flight from Bangkok to Bali. Somehow we managed to drag ourselves out of bed. The 4 hours 15 minutes flight was quite uneventful and we both managed to get some sleep. When we arrived at the airport we had a driver there to meet us to take us to our hotel in Ubud, located up in the hills in central Bali. After spending ...
