... yellow sashes to tie around our waists. We were both wearing long trousers and shoulders were not a cardinal sin apparently, so we wore adorned as Simpsons while Edd and his dad were avatars in their purple skirts; it was very amusing.
We walked around the temple ruins for an hour, staying out of the way of the worshippers as it was full moon and therefore a special day for them. We took photos and marvelled at monkeys that were jumping around the ...
... theatre. It was quite extraordinary as the place held about 300 people and we were the only ones there, but the show must go on. It was surreal as we were heavily outnumbered by the performers. Despite the lack of atmosphere we enjoyed it and afterwards we were invited on stage to have photo's taken with the cast. Midweek saw Karl and family head back to Surabaya, it was sad to see them go and the place seems quiet without them.
... dinner we indulged in a fantastic Mexican that we had been to when we first arrived a month ago, and the food was even better than we remembered. Not sure if Seminyak is ramping up for high season or what, but it feels like there are loads of tourists and lovely new hotels, shops and restaurants....or perhaps we were just getting used to being in small, quiet areas ...
... meals. We have an excellent view of the ocean but there is no real beach in front. Apparently locals “excavated” coral for construction purposes in days of yore. Now there is a concrete jetty in front.
We had dinner at the resort and snuggled in for a rest.

Our resort has a dive shop. We stopped by to size them up. We were not too impressed with the conversation we had with the manager. ...
Well it has been a couple of months since my last effort so there may be a few short "catch up" entries in the blog to bring things up to speed.
