Puri Melaka

Our first introduction to Malaysia was Melaka and what a way to start discovering Malaysia. Although it is quite "touristic" it also has so much charm and again the locals are sooooo friendly. I would say even more than in Singapore. We spent one night in Melacca, at the gorgeous Puri Hotel. Rooms are a little tiny, but who spends any time in their rooms? Our first experience in Melacca was the pleasant shock of its bus station. Malacca is a great little town. Its so pretty with all the old Chinese and Portuguese style houses and buildings. I really enjoyed just wondering the streets. We drove down from KL and checked into our hotel which was a sight to see in itself. Nach dem Frühstück ging es heute zu**st zum Puduraya Busbahnhof wo wir uns**e Tickets für die Fahrt nach Melaka um 16 Uhr kauften. Dann stapften wir in d** Hitze den B**g zum Menara KL, dem F**nsehturm, hoch. Schweisstreibende Angelegenheit bei üb** 30 Grad und strahlend** Sonne! Melaka ist einfach wunderschoen mit seinen vielfaeltigen Einfluessen aus so unterschiedlichen Kulturen. Immerhin trafen hier Malayen, Chinesen, Portugiesen, Hollaender und Briten im Verlauf der letzten 200 Jahre aufeinander. Hi, 8 September: vandaag de bus genomen vanaf het Puduraya station en in na twee uurtjes aangekomen in Malakka. Ingecheckt in het prachtige Puri hotel dat is gelegen in het centrum van Malakka (de Heerenstraat). Kamer blijkt 110 RM te kosten incl. ontbijt. Melaka Our first experience with Malaysia was a little rough as the Grassland Bus Company dropped us off at a car dealership instead of a bus station.
