Yeah lots of holes for mosquitos to get in
Very sexy looking if you spent the extra couple of quid a night and got the more expensive rooms

we stayed here for 3 nights in april '11. rooms are nice, clean and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. location is not the best - a bit of a walk to the beach, but close to semnyak restaurants & shopping.

... we flew to Darwin so checked out the shops and watched the sun set on the beach (whilst also being offered dart guns to buy, only in Asia!). Our last night in Asia was a little emotional, we'd had a great time, meeting super friendly people and seeing some breathtaking sites! However with Australia only a few hours flight away, the excitement was building and we were defiantly ready to get back to the western world, and start the next chapter of our adventurers. Darwin here we ...

... harvested, we were informed were currently at their most beautiful. We wobbled and laughed our way inelegantly through a series of poses, but had a lot of fun doing so. Saluting the sun in these temperatures certainly worked off some of the previous night's barbecue and inspired us to visit a restaurant for lunch that is so fresh and organic that you could actually pick your own vegetables from their fields before you eat them! Ubud is also a cultural capital of sorts, so we ...

... a different story, dinner and a drink for both came to about £5! We had booked in to Explorers hostel which compared to the one in Hong Kong was amazing, the air con was too cold if anything, there were free computers to use, beds were clean and comfy and it was right in the heart of the city, for only £6 per night. Nescafe coffee was available 24/7 free of charge, something the hotelier in longji rice terraces should take note of! And of course breakfast was ...

... had a few people in it, but they were all on their iPads or sleeping - it was so different than the hostel atmospheres that I've encountered so far on this trip. Oh well. I grabbed a book and my camera and headed to the beach to catch the sunset. Normally not fussed about being alone, as I wandered the familiar streets of this large southeast Asian city, I couldn't help but feel sad. It's funny how you can get so attached to the people you meet in only a few days. As I made my way ...

... head with many trips walking back from the vehicle to the shop, the saleman was sure to sell the piece to me. I ended up bargaining him down from his 1,000 000rp ($100) asking price to 600,000rp ($60); not shabby for a 8"X 8" mahogany piece.
Ending the day off, Breanne and I went to take in a bit more culture. We attended a Balinesian dancing show, which was a delight of colourful costumes, music and robot like dancing.
