Yeah lots of holes for mosquitos to get in
Very sexy looking if you spent the extra couple of quid a night and got the more expensive rooms

we stayed here for 3 nights in april '11. rooms are nice, clean and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. location is not the best - a bit of a walk to the beach, but close to semnyak restaurants & shopping.

... called Bamboo Cafe. We were actually searching for the Rainbow cafe which was listed in our guidebook, but after asking locals where it was, somehow we got to the Bamboo Cafe instead. Our rule is we only eat at places that are relatively busy. This place, though a bit of a 'whole in the wall,' was pretty packed and we were happy we chose it. It was by far the best meal we have had in Indonesia and also the cheapest! We had a fresh squeezed juice, a bottle of water and a ...

We carried on to Gunung Kawi (meaning 'carving in the mount') With 309 steps down into the valley where there were ten seven metre high memorials carved into the rock face. According to legend, these ruined temples are the memorial shrines of the king's concubines and his family. We ...

... and then we wandered back into the main areas of the city to find a warung (restaurant) for dinner. We went back to a street we had eaten on previously and found a warung with delicious food and amazing prices. Although we were sad that our week in Ubud had come to an end, we were excited for the next part of our Bali trip, to Munduk.

Munduk is about two hours away from Ubud and is a much, much smaller village. We stayed at a beautiful place called Karang Sari, in ...

After strolling down many streets, we found ourselves on Monkey Forest road and shortly thereafter in monkey forest. So if you have been reading my silly entries, you will already know I am not a fan of monkeys but yes we went to monkey forest to wander about among the monkeys. Yes I am crazy!

On the way from Ubud to Canngu we did a small trip, tying in the taxi and a trip to save money. No successful. The first stop was the butterfly park, what a load of ****. $10 to walk around a tiny netted enclosure. The entire stop lasted last that 10 minutes. What a rip off! We then visited a natural hot springs. Again expensive for what was there, but it was nice just to lazy about in the spring for a while. We where given a walled off area with a private ...
