... sea is about 30 miles away. The old port gates are still standing. Every day the streets were flooded with gushing water to clean them. Large stepping stones were placed in the street to allow pedestrians to cross without getting there sandals wet. ... was loaded with information and good fun. I highly recommend the walk for anyone who comes to the area. However the 1400 steps down to Positano are a test of the knees. And yeah! we found a cache on the walk. Luigi is the owner. How cool is that?

Our next favorite stop we always step into is the il Vincaffe Wine Bar, great great wine selection and appetizers, sandwiches and fabulous cheese selections with fantastic recordings of jazz playing in the background. ... a really bad reputation for being dirty and unsafe. If you travel at night you are warned to sit up the front so the driver can watch out for you. It is pretty basic, and a bit grubby but we didn't feel unsafe. It was full of tourists with luggage. The main problem is that it is a really long trip, about 90 minutes. It seemed to stop every kilometre for another station.

Of course Jenny and Mitsu picked up some cute Italian boys playing soccer :) I'll have to keep a close eye on those two while in Italy - hahaha


We travelled from Bari to Sorrento. It took about 4 hours on the bus. The coast line is just beautiful - Sorrento is on the Gulf of Naples/Mediterranean Sea and has the most amazing views.


We thought it might be a bit cooler here ...
