Suddenly I felt an overwhelming sense of being alone & feeling intensely what my friend's husband must be going through today. My best friend was standing at the back of the church...his best friend has passed on. We are going to Miss her so very much!     ... juste à côté des ruines, et le temps de trouver l'arrêt pas signalé du tout en zigzagant entre des bouts de ruines, nous étions en route.

    Une fois à Trogir, le plus important de loin a été de manger! Comme très souvent en Croatie ce furent des pizzas -- je crois que je n'en ai jamais mangé autant de ma vie! Dans les restaurants, à emporter, de toutes les formes et de tous les goûts, c'est vraiment le plat national, disponible partout ...

    We head off after breakfast taking the highway to the south and then leave it and take the coast road. Our first stop is Croatia' "Ibiza" a beautiful place called Makarska, we stop here for lunch and have a delicious chicken salad and cold glass of red.     ... with Marijana who showed us to the apartment, which exceeded expectations in every way. It was clearly an apartment which someone had lived in, as the kitchen and pantry were well stocked with both food and kitchen supplies, and from entering the door all the way back through the apartment, it was decorated with vintage art and framed postcards of Zadar, sculptures of the Lion of St. Mark and other quite tasteful decorations.     After not dying at the waterfalls we continued on our way south to Vodice where we rented a little apartment. Since it was off-season it was incredibly cheap and we got an entire flat to ourselves! It started to get a bit rainy but we still went to the sea to take advantage of that crystal clear blue water!
