... sat with Shane, Stan & Doreen. Shane stood up to give his seat too two women. Suddenly I felt an overwhelming sense of being alone & feeling intensely what my friend's husband must be going through today. My best friend was standing at the back of the church...his best friend has passed on. We are going to Miss her so very much! We travelled on a super highway past more rocky hillsides towards Vodice where we hope to find the sailboat we rented. ...

We head off after breakfast taking the highway to the south and then leave it and take the coast road. Our first stop is Croatia' "Ibiza" a beautiful place called Makarska, we stop here for lunch and have a delicious chicken salad and cold glass of red. After not dying at the waterfalls we continued on our way south to Vodice where we rented a little apartment. Since it was off-season it was incredibly cheap and we got an entire flat to ourselves! It started to get a bit rainy but we still went to the sea to take advantage of that crystal clear blue water!

Headed north from Zadar toward the town of Nin and the island of Vir. Given the continuing fine weather we were in search of some naturist beaches in the area. We never did find them… it seems development had overtaken them… but we did have a couple of nice bike rides along some of the charming waterfronts. We ended up at a small and peaceful campground right on the edge of the beach on the island of Vir. Can't say the ...
