This blog will be the last now for some time - we have settled into our regular outings now with friends, nothing to warrant reporting home about…Moose club, lunches with friends and last evening dinner with Raymond and Connie at their home in Venice, followed by Mexican Train Dominos which David and Erin picked up really quickly and enjoyed.

In January Bob bid on a three day weekend at the Sheraton, FourPoints Inn in Punta Gorda at the charity auction for Lazarus Clinic/ Catholic Charities. We won the weekend and contributed more than half it's value to the cause. We tried once earlier to take the trip but Dixie got sick and we didn't want to leave her. The sun was low on the horizon over the Gulf as we were crossing the Peace River, and our view from the bridge going into Punta Gorda was gorgeous. We watched for a moment and then continued across the river to finish watching the sun set from the other side of the bridge.
