... falls. It also was about straight up for over 1000 feet. It helped us get a great appetite.
The flight to Melbourne was tiresome and took the whole day. However, we walked around Melbourne that evening and I must say that Melbourne is one of the most beautiful cities I have visited. Located on the Yarra river, it borders on magical. The architecture is very eclectic and avant garde. (Sorry ...

An old school friend of Tracey’s, Jeremy, had emigrated to Australia four years previously with his Finnish wife, Outi. They very kindly invited us to stay at their home in the small town of Broadford, about an hour north of Melbourne. Jeremy’s place turned out to be a 50-acre farm, complete with paddocks, a vineyard, tennis courts, a swimming pool, dogs and horses. The location was stunning and we could see nothing ...
... don’t miss having to write my degree dissertation in every spare minute which is what it looked like most people were doing. We checked out the finished walls in Croft Alley and took some pictures, then we returned to docklands, found a cafe and spent a couple of hours just chilling with magazines and coffee. It’s been nice to just relax here and not do endless day trips and tours.
So that’s it for my year in Australia, as I’m writing this I’m ...
... He did few days of admin temping, a bit retail working for Adidas at a big sale they were having, a few days bar work at the spring racing carnival, and a bit of labouring – setting up displays at the exhibition centre.
At the end of September the AFL Grand Final came about. That's Aussie rules football if you didnt know - we didnt! It's quite hard to grasp the rules at first, but its sort of a mixture between ...

Realising it was getting rather late we
decided to start looking for somewhere to stay. We put our foot down
aiming to get to Port Campbell. Half way there we realised that it
was further than we expected. It went dark very quickly and after we
headed over Lavers Hill we decided to find the next place to stay at
the next place available. We soon came across a campsite, only when
we got in to the muddy field, it was ...
... her and some passanger who appeared to be in the medical profession). I didn't mind much as I had a good nap and the man didn't seem to mind when I needed to get up to visit the ladies. I watched something on the TV, listened to something on the music thing and watched something on my laptop (I was pretty out of it) before they served some salad rolls. I ate one of them but couldn't eat the other. On our decent into Melbourne, I talked a bit to the ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia fionapurcell... usw...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia diene... and ice caves. We headed back down and reached the hostel around 8pm - both pretty knackered but a really good day!! The next day (19th Dec) we set off for Queenstown. It was another spectacular drive, around the foothills of the Southern Alps. Unfortunately the weather had closed in a bit but we still had some great views of the 'Remarkables' mountain range - used heavily in the Lord of the Rings films. Fortunately the next day the weather had improved a lot and we headed off to the ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia david-daisy... And it's also again back to Queensland, back to the east coast. But the first time that I was up there, I intentionally left out this part of the coast (I took a flight from Cairns down to Brisbane!), because I knew that I will return there later, that is now. I just feel a little bit uncertain about this group we are. I somehow still miss all the people that I learned to know in New Zealand. That was so different...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia danubear... like lassiters lake, grease monkeys, the antiques shop when Marlene Crouch came back with Ted from Tasmania (a Harold with amnesia!) oh and the one and only Coffee shop! As we drove round the corner we were shown the, quite literally patch of grass, where the recent rave building fell down and got every one trapped, it was filmed just on a corner bit of grass in the grounds, not so glamourous!! As the bus stopped a woman came ...
