... huge jaws around the meat. It was pretty impressive.

The other highlight of the day was the tiger show... the keepers go in with the tigers and spend all day playing and lying with them. The show was a play session with three tigers, the keeper waved various objects around and the tigers chased and pounced on them. At one point one of the tigers climbed up a pole, but the best bit was the jumps! The keeper ran round ...
Caloundra, Queensland, Australia yelleandjon... We saw some fab creatures and we waited on a rock for 30 minutes as we had seen something run away from us. Our time was wasted as the little bugger stayed put!!!!

On Sunday we went out for breakfast (believe it or not this is the first breakfast we have ate out and boy did we make up for it!) We went to a place called Sizzler which does an all you can eat brunch on a Sunday. It was amazing and surprisingly Emma beat Ben 4 plates to 3 which ...

They know each other from home but have included me which is nice. On Thursday we all went to the beach together which was good. Being on my own, i dont trust myself to do my back properly so I always lie on my back!! We had a few ...
Moreton Island, Queensland, Australia raoul_far_ausSouth and West to the Outback So we all headed out in our camper van, South towards Bribane. The first day we stopped at a small town south of Mackay named Sarina. Nice quiet spot, lush and green, and the kids swam of course! Brian saw a few kangaroos on the roadside, lots of squished ones! A few things that are different here: They really do say "G'day mate, and How ya goin" Give way = merge Overtake = passing lane Of course driving on the left hand ...

Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia jennyreid... a sudden the captain speeds up. So now the boat is going faster then normal and still no explanation. Nobody saw anything and we started coming up with a bunch of ideas... was it another smaller boat? A Whale? A channel marker Buoy? Moreton Island, Queensland, Australia carrera2u... cold but you get used to it, and i even managed to read some of my book ! In the photo's you will see some jets of water in a play area, Ellen wanted to wash the sand off herself under these until she realized that they were harder than she thought, unfortunately for her Zoe was there to make sure she did it :) but Zoe didn't expect to get so wet herself !! Hello to everyone at home
Caloundra, Queensland, Australia manicmaiden2000... melbourne. however, it has occured to us that this is the equivelent of driving from florida to maine on back roads. the drives have been taking us alot longer than we expected. so after port mc quarie we started to look for other options than the whitsunday islands. jason came up with the idea to go to 1770, a town at the southern tip of the great barrier reef known for ...
Caloundra, Australia ireneandjason... There was an impressive suspended wire sculpture which hopefully you can see in the picture... The science center had the smallest ship to sail single-handed around the world, and its obvious the guy was certifiably insane. Just the relatively calm seas we experienced would roll that thing around like a cork top. On the last day I bought my backpack in preparation for the next portion of my trip- it's quite ...
