... made 5 for me), that we took the Petite Train back to the Palace. It was so worth the 7 euros for the two of us.

Before I forget, it rained off and on. Sometimes it was sunny and pleasant, other times it poured down rain. It was raining when we were leaving. Thankfully the Girl grabbed our umbrellas and stuck them in her purse. So we didn't get too wet walking back to the train station. We made our way back to the city and went straight to my favorite cafe ...
Versailles, Île-de-France, France kitkatgo... and we ate early enough to avoid the lines. http://www.relaisentrecote.fr/ And then, on to our final destination for the evening, ... Mimi wants to do a river cruise. We had originally thought to pass on the experience, but I'm so glad we listened to Mimi! A short walk to the Seine just as the sun begins to set creates a magical glow to the horizon. The bridges and walkways begin to fill with people enjoying picnics and wine with friends. Its a relaxing, laid back ...
Paris, France styrsky... do know that there is no way I could have walked aournd on cobble stones and uneven ground for the last two days without out useing Becky's boot, I am very thankful for it! But still each day I am hoping for a miraculas recovery! Now... on to Paris, Words can;t describe it! Having just one real day to expolre Paris and one bad foot, we decided to bite the bullet and pay for the hop on hop off bus tour open air double decker, if you ever find yourself in Paris I would ...
Paris, France koltzoo... to get home. Like all good troopers Ken decided to "start walking" with some small dissent from Nick and Alice. Anyway, we eventually found another fantastic restaurant to eat at and let out feet recover enough to make it home. Tomorrow we pick up the hire car and head south for the Dordogne region and with any luck will be able to navigate our way out of Paris without Dad swearing too much!!!!
Paris, France dempsey-eadie... for my next meals, and then played the waiting game. This train station is not organized what so ever. There are three different ticket windows; one to buy tickets, one to give schedules, and one mystery one-I couldn't figure out exactly what they did, but I was able to neither purchase a ticket nor get times here. None of these offices could share duties, of course. Also, there were 27 ...
Paris, France carpeau... just going home tonight and reading my book! Tomorrow the students present their final projects and we have a farewell dinner at the school. It should be a nice day! Then we have 2 days left in Paris. Sunday the Tour de France ends here, so that is the only thing I know I am for sure going to do this weekend. Everything else Iwill play by ear. I made a list of things I wanted to do while I was here and I've pretty much crossed everything off!
Paris, France becca_booYep. I got to include Paris in my trip. What did I see? The train station, a mediocre tuna sand which, and my own, furious face in one of the train windows. How did I get here? It turns out I passed out and slept through my stop in Lyon (*******ned sleep deprivation), and when I woke up I found myself in Paris. Every curse word I know, French, English, German, Romanian ,all came out at once. People looked at me, horrified and confused. **** them. Two FULL days of ...
Paris, France papapeta33... decided that it's actually incredibly useful for covert communications, as virtually no one else can understand us. It's actually quite reassuring :) Of course we miss Japan very much, and can hardly believe that less than a week ago, we were still somewhat installed in our apartment in Nagoya, and going out for Kirin beer and yakitori with our friends. We miss you all, and hope you are all enjoying your new jobs, new schools, new staff, etc. That's ...
Paris, France janeyinjapanWe woke up too late for the breakfast we paid for, didn't miss much though because it's bread and jam. We trekked around forever trying to find this Indian restaurant only a few blocks from the hotel, detouring through the Jewish sections. Then we went to see the Catacombs for only 2.50 eu, very cheap for such an interesting ...
