... Michel!! Anyway, we finally did get to Concorde, and walked from there! Lovely, ended up at a bar for a soothing white wine, and all walked in our own directions back to the hotel, to meet in the foyer at 7.15 to leave to have dinner at Chez Denise tonight. Now off to change and clean up! Had a message from poor Gill in Scotland, saying it was pouring with rain and cold - she says, come back, the spell has ended....but the spell is now working in Paris....so ...

One of his Starry Night paintings was there and it was incredible how the stars, with a single dab of thick white paint, surrounded by softer yellow rays, stood out across the room. ... which appealed to many of us. There was a bet going to see how many Colin Fischer had played in his life (need to find the answer to that!). Another highlight was the live performance of many kinds of flutes.

From the Museum we napped our way to the hotel and peeled off to our rooms. Insight Vacations are our tour operators and they organised a get together with a drink in the hotel restaurant, with a welcome address from Monica. Once that was ...

... to the French Telecoms employee. We were now set. We are still trying to figure out how to find out our usage on the prepay - worst case it will just stop working! All our jobs done for today I asked Joe if he wanted to go to the Eiffel Tower or the Champs Élysées. He wasn't really fussed on either but I said we can't just sit in our room on your birthday, so the Champs Élysées it was. I wanted to say I had ridden the Metro in Paris so we figured out which ...
