... being the only people walking on this centuries old postal trail. Before too long we arrived in Tsumago just as everything was closing up. It turns out historical towns close at 5pm like in ye olden days. Still it was a blessing in disguise as without all the souvenir shops open Tsumago actually looked like it might have done three hundred years before. We walked along the streets soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying this quaint little town hidden within the ...

... of sunscreen! Curses, poor form.

Our early flight and sun bathing had taken its toll so we indulged on my favorite Asian activity. Cheapo massages! No not the happy ending kind, just the normal ones. Stay tuned for more Bali action.

... but we escaped alive thankfully.

A side note on our hotel room: i will just have to take a picture to show you but we are treated like king and queen. The best bed we slept on, a room with so much character, an ok internet connection, hot shower (that became unknown), more than one plug and reading light. We are in heaven.

Ubud is 200meters above sea level, which doesn't seem much but actually make a difference: it is cooler at night (very ...

... day. Millie slipped over and hit her head on the tiled floor- so she was in a bad mood and had a headache. We set off in the rain for the 20 minute walk to Bintang supermarket, promising Millie we'd get a taxi back. After grabbing some supplies we began hurrying home so we wouldn't miss the parade. No taxis. We found some steps that led us to Penestanan village (our one) but somehow got lost and our journey home took 45 minutes. Millie complained the whole time, she ...
