... than listening to western pop music played at ear-shredding volume until well past midnight ( who doesn't) During the daytime, after a gaggle of lovely Malaysian cleaning ladies have polished the floor, cleaned the bathroom and done the washing up, we spend a long time just standing about and revelling in the space and the quiet. ... the place I was intending to stay didn't work out. Labuan has TONS of hotels so I knew that at the very least I would have somewhere to stay. One of the girls that I asked for help worked at a yogurt shop that just happened to have wifi and she let me use their wifi so that I could figure out where to stay. Trip advisor was giving me some ideas, although it would have been nice to be able to call and ask for prices before I decided on a place.

It was a completely different experience walking through the jungle in the dark with a little torch and I weedled my way forward to walk with a guy from Germany who had an amazing headlamp that shone right to the top of the canopy! The night time noises were deafening and to witness the ...

... before we venture out.
By the way forgot to mention that I tried Jelly Fish salad last night; interesting texture, nothing to dislike about it. I would happily have it again! Back in Kuching I had been having sea coconut with my breakfast; that’s rather nice as well. Not found it in Sabah yet though; need to Google it to find out exactly what it is!
The forecast for tomorrow is very hot!
