... ve seen on Cres! Then we rode over the bridge (a 20m bridge; the channel was man made to control the movement of people from the north to the south in the roman times) to a town Nerezine. These two towns are much bigger (still very small though!) than the towns we visited yesterday. We got back to Percy around 2pm, did a clean up then had lunch of fruit and yoghurt in ...

... beach and enjoyed the sun with our toes in the water. Mid afternoon we made our way down south, past Punta Križa, to a little beach inlet. There is a camp site here but it's closed now. We're parked right next to the water. Hopefully it's a bit more sheltered and not as windy as last night! A 40 minute hike back to Percy and we watched the sunset. A cracker day! So happy to be by the ...

... Rijeka was crazy - traffic like Melbourne, and Mat said he felt like he was in the favelas in Brazil. We were going to stop but it was so crazy, we didn't. We kept driving to Krk Island, where the ferry departs to Cres Island. Before we knew it the heater was off and we were cruising with the windows down!! Feels like we're on a beach holiday!! We booked the 6.15pm ferry, and enjoyed our first Croatian beer while we waited for it. Only a 25 ...

Coastal Istria - Pula, Rovinj, and Porec

... The primary works of art that are so significant are mosaic floors and the glittering mosaics surrounding in the apse surrounding the main altar. Beyond that, though, the church is honestly pretty plain. I managed to get in all I needed to see of Porec in under two hours of metered parking.

I tend to agree with the guys at the hostel in Zagreb. Coastal Istria isn’t all that exciting, but I managed to see the things I wanted to there in one well planned ...
