... was room for another night. We had just parked the van when a band marched through the camp playing lively music. The ages went from young to old and it was like a welcoming committee. That night there was not one but two huge fireworks displays and we could only marvel at there brilliance over the water and wonder why they had them. Not a bad start to our time in Croatia. The water was lovely and there was no sand only paved stone so we invested in some mats to lie on. It was ...

... interesting alleys & lanes all over the place. Many alleys went directly to the water...very cool! So far, our time in Croatia has been fairly relaxed. Day 4 of Croatia was spent swimming and snorkeling on a popular island called Brijuni. Hours of fun in the sun and truly relaxing! The weather has been in the 90's every day. Took the water taxi back and forth to the mainland. Went home for a couple hours and headed back downtown for shopping and dinner. The food is very different here, it's been kind of hit or miss. Often difficult to read the menus in Croatian but overall has been pretty ...

Went on a road trip to a natural spring mineral river near the village of Roć down a narrow mountain road that was just wide enough for one vehicle, scared the hell out of LeeAnn , to discover no water in the river! It was in a tiny village that was 250 years old. Met a family from Slovenia that insisted we stay and have homemade schnapps and wine, very good. They recommend a great authentic Croatian restaurant on the top of a mountain that was excellent! Returned to Pula at dark. ...
