We have had a lovely time in Mallorca, Spain.

All the pictures I have seen of this lovely island are chockfull of people! Where did they all go? I felt like we had the entire island to ourselves.

We rented a car for the first few days in Mallorca. Driving the 50 minutes from the airport to the hotel gave way to the realization that this is the island of round-abouts!

Well after 2 weeks in Spain we have swapped blue waters and sun for beautiful architecture and bicycles!!
Our last week in Mallorca was spent mainly in Cala D'or where we would wake up, go to the grocery store to buy yogurt and fruit, and then off to the beach. Cala D'or has 3 coved beaches that have rock on either side.

... fishy" about the place (pun completely intended!) and I was right - the water was full of all sorts of creatures, big fish, little fish (no cardboard boxes!), crabs, snails of all sorts of colours, eels and jelly fish... In fact, in true John form, he managed to get stung on the ear - which was quite painful for a bit but seemingly fine after a pint!
