... whole Area was devastated by a 9.2 earthquake in 1964, which devastated the area. The land sank 10-15 feet. The town was rebuilt some time later. On route we visited a Wildlife Sanctuary - hence photos of bears, reindeers and the Musk ox. Closely associated more with goats than with oxen. Population of Anchorage 300,000. Very large airport. Goods enroute from China and Japan to be sent south. It is still very light and it is now 11.30! ...
