An unplanned visit of Anchorage !
... a pair of rubber boots, and ended up shopping (with my mum) and eventually losing Pierre Alexandre in the process. He was pretty ****** about that, and didn't really understood the concept of two women shopping more than an hour ! haha
We went back to the room, and after watching a great documentary called Zeitgeist, we went to have sushi in town.
A nice, unexpected stop in Anchorage.

From Plane to Train
We were up and out early this morning – but the early rise was well worth it! It had rained most of the night, so we were not sure we would be able to make the excursion which was to fly over Mt. McKinley. The wind was whipping and the temperatures were LOW – 42 degrees to be exact. Tommy wondered if the wind would keep us grounded, but when we arrived at the small airport, complete with a gravel runway, the news was good. They said we would be able to make the flight. ...

Agape in Anchorage
... crashed the moment we got out of the airport. The drive to the hotel, at 1am, was no different from driving on Vermont Ave, Los Angeles or El Camino, Palo Alto - the strip malls, the wide roads, the neon lights - like any other place on the West Coast. Yeah, Anchorage is still on the west coast of the United States, but it is in Alaska!
Too much expectation, you say ?! ...
