Puebla, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico meluebke... a great recap! 3 days worth!

It's a great trade-off. Really, it is.

We arrived in Puebla, Mexico on Monday and we were welcomed with open arms by Nao, the fabulous advance team intern from Japan. She was so excited to see us - she started to cry! I knew exactly how she felt because it's how I felt when I saw the cast arrive last week in Veracruz.

We were also welcomed by the rest of the advance team, our sponsors, and some popular children's characters. We also ...
Puebla, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico meluebke... pleasures and the passion of the people I havent laughed that much in a long time! Catholic girls arent as innocent as you might think! Now we are in Oaxaca and have had a couple of days to think about it, even Brendan said he missed seeing Mariana at the dinner table laughing at our stupid gringo antics! Such a friendly and kind person, but all the Mexicans we have met to far have been like that! Amazing! The legend of la serpiente grande continues to spread though latin america.

The hotel has only been open for 3 weeks and benefits from a superb location just off the Zocalo. The few spacious rooms that they offer are each different in shape and size and come with lovely period ...

Puebla, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico rayou... was alive with the Caravans leaving. We had a front row seat for all the action. After the crowd left we caught the local bus to the center of Puebla. Puebla is said to be the most European city in Mexico, being established by the Spaniards in 1531. Unlike most of the other Colonial Cities, Puebla was not built around an exiting native village. Left aligned photo tag: By 1539 the city had a ...

Puebla, Mexico kimbutterfly15... ruins that have been reovated into a mall and park. I thought the inside was a very nice mix of traditioal and very modern arcitecture, but didn´t know it was actual new biulding mixed with old ruins. The site used to be a "factory" type place. One of the things they used to do there is prepare and dye leather. It is really cool because they have preserved the arciological materials they found and incourperated them right into the mall. Many of the walls ...
Puebla, Mexico kimbutterfly15... to arrive there during its International music festival. This festival translated as a Latin American music festival in real terms but it was fantastic because we got to attend three concerts of song, rhythm and dance! Collins pretended not to be too enamoured by them for fear of appearing gay but they really added a bit of a jizz to this fairly bland city. The best concert was on the Saturday and was ...
