... which was interesting. As we drive into the older part of the town, I noticed that the temperature was 27 degrees Celsius - obviously the metric conversions are for visitors from everywhere else. This town is the home of the champion skiers during the winter. Although nowhere near any steamboats, Steamboat Springs got its name from a natural hot spring that sounded like the chugging of a steamboat. ... some beautiful rainbow trouts for dinner. Ray marinaded them and grilled them for dinner. We ate down in the courtyard of the Kutuk Condo complex where we are staying. We had a great view of the ski area and the Yampa Valley and we all really enjoyed our dinner. Me especially because someone else cooked. What a treat. Thank you Ray.
We had a little soak in the hot tub after dinner and then off to bed. Another fabulous day on Holiday!

From start to finish we put over 3,000 miles on the Subaru (Little Sue) and every one of those was well worth it. This was an unforgettable American road trip that I highly recommend everyone take at least once in their lives.
... soup. All of the food was fabulous, and our waitress Emily was superb. Zambuca and port for after dinner drinks, and then back to the condo.
Overall it was a great vacation that ended too quickly. I am heading back to Austin tomorrow, and Kelly is staying 2 more days. We had such a great time skiing together, with the added bonus of seeing nephew Chance! At first we were not sure about Steamboat Springs, but it grew on us ...
... I don't know how one of us didn't cut his fingers off as we were all on boards, it was close. Poor kid then started crying, I think he got the fright of his life when his mother yelled at him for turning when he didn't need to. Everyone was fine so it was all good.
Headed over to the backside that opened this morning to give the board a workout, not good out there, one run and back to the frontside. The wind was bad with driving snow ...
