... br> Had just passed through Fortaleza previously so, given the
long wait for my 8pm flight, decided to venture into town and spend the last of
my reals at the central market and enjoy a couple of the sights.

It was tough to even find left luggage – the one sign
pointed right – it’s reverse side also pointed right (the ...

... at about 10am. Luckily for us the hostel was not at full capacity so Jamily (young Brazilian girl who owns the hostel with her husband, Alex) let us have breakfast and check into our rooms early so we could have a nap. ... James Rodrigues snapping up everything that is fed to him they are a force; fast, skilled,
brave and deadly. Today against Uruguay was no exception and Monaco AC’s $60 million Rodrigues turned in one ‘goal of the tournament” candidate and a perfect poacher’s goal to lead them to a 2-0 win. How much better could they have been with a fit Radamel Falcao in the line up? Gives me shivers contemplating ...

... after 2 full rounds of penalty kicks. The crowd of nearly a hundred Brazilians than had formed around the television went wild, roaring in victory as fireworks were sent into the air along the coastline. We sat next to two Australians, Angus & George, who were just as enthusiastic about the win (seeing as they held semi-final and final game tickets).

Sunday morning, we woke up early and dressed in our chosen nationality for the ...
